Lynn Sare Kornblau

Principal Attorney
Lynn Sare Kornblau

Lynn Sare Kornblau, Esquire has been working on behalf of injured victims of medical malpractice, product defects, motor vehicle and slip and fall accidents and medical and other insurance bad faith and fraud for over 30 years. Along with her late husband Jeffrey M. Kornblau, Lynn founded Kornblau & Kornblau, PC, which continues through the present to passionately advocate for individuals and families who have suffered harm from medical errors and other forms of negligence. She has successfully litigated and settled cases in the millions of dollars for delay in diagnosis and misdiagnosis of cancer; wrong sided surgeries; positional injuries during surgeries; failure to obtain informed consent to treatment; failure of products to have guards resulting in extremity amputations; and vehicle and trucking failure to adhere to motor vehicle regulations.

Lynn graduated from Temple University School of Law after which she began her legal career in Philadelphia while maintaining an office in her home town of Scranton, PA. She is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Lynn and her late husband Jeff obtained the highest verdicts in the history of Lackawanna County, PA, securing $20 million dollar verdicts for an infant who had suffered brain damage as the result of medical malpractice and for a woman whose cancer went undiagnosed for a year, causing her to lose her chances for early diagnosis and treatment and resulting in her premature death. Lynn has also been a member of the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority. She currently serves on the Board of Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Through the firm's medical malpractice cases, Lynn obtains compensation for patients after they have suffered harm. She has also effected change through her cases by securing agreements from health care systems to implement new policies, designed to prevent similar occurances. For example, in resolving a case of a still born child whose mother was high risk but had not received care from a high risk doctor, a policy change was brokered to ensure that high risk patients always be placed under the care of a perinatologist, a high risk pregnancy doctor.

Recognizing the need for patient advocacy before the harm occurs, in 2022, Lynn founded Jeff Kornblau Partners for Patient Advocacy, d/b/a JKPPA, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public charity that assists individuals in navigating their health care and tracks patient stories. The mission of JKPPA is to prevent harm and encourage systemic change to avoid patient pitfalls and prevent patients from falling through the cracks in today's complex, electronically and AI driven health care systems.
